Contributor Guidelines

We need your help.

The Creator's Manual is an A to Z guide on how to start, operate, and grow a company that is built on the collective knowledge of the 25,000+ members of the global WeWork community.

That’s where you come in. We have built the platform, and are looking to people like you to add their expertise.

How to Contribute

The Creator Manual is built Wiki style, meaning that anyone can add to, modify, and enhance any existing article. It's as simple as navigating to the article you want to enhance and clicking the "Edit" button at the top of the article!

Editing and adding to articles is one of the easiest ways you can contribute. Add a key piece of information, a personal anecdote, or, if you feel like it, completely overhaul an article. Have a great way of accomplishing a task? Spotted a trend that people should know? Want to share your personal experiences? This is the place to do it.

Think something is missing and we need to add an article topic? If you'd like to create an entire post, send us your completed article and a brief pitch on why it should be included. After a quick review, we'll let you know if we’re going to upload it to the site, create the article, and you can upload it labeling you as a contributor!

All you have to do is email us with your recommendations.

What are we looking for? Posts that advance the discussion in a meaningful way. They should be easy to read and have a clear point of view. They should also follow conventional English spelling, syntax, and grammar practices. To increase the likelihood that we’ll use your post, add videos, photos, charts, and other visual content.

A couple of rules:

  • Ideally, posts should be your original work, and not draw heavily or completely on the work of others without proper attribution. It's fine if it's been published before, but make sure you have the rights to republish it.
  • While you can mention your company or services, we ask that no submission be blatant advertisements.
  • Avoid language that is inflammatory or material that is biased against any person, company, or organization.

Please feel free to reach out if you have any problems, questions, or find something quirky on the site. We look forward to seeing what you contribute.

Why to Contribute

As you know, sharing your expertise with an engaged audience of creators, entrepreneurs, and startup leaders is a great way to improve your own profile.

When you contribute to an article, your profile is put in the contributor bar located at the top of the article. Writing or contributing to an insightful or useful post gives you and your own company a higher profile.

It's also a remarkable way to become better known (and better connected) within the WeWork community.

We can't wait to see what awesome knowledge you share!
